Rasheena Nash

Rasheena Nash is a screenwriter & director from Atlanta, currently based out of Los Angeles. She started her career in the costume department on various shows and movies such as Atlanta, created by Donald Glover, Amazing Stories, produced by Stephen Spielberg, The Vampire Diaries a hit show for The CW Network, Burden, Forest Whittaker’s Sundance jury prize winner and The Outsider coming soon to HBO from Stephen King and Jason Bateman.
Rasheena spent her free time filming short films on the weekends. Those shorts have since graced the silver screens and short film corners at Sundance (2014), with Just Call Me Darling, as well as the Festival de Cannes (2016) with My Last Day.
She was a writer for the Google & YouTube Red’s first web series The GodComplX; in which she won Best Original Screenplay at the LA Webfest in the 2017 for the episode Mother May I. The buzz about Rasheena’s drive and passion to write and direct began to circulate the industry and she was given a chance to be the assistant to director Tamra Davis and writer/showrunner Stacey LittleJohn on the VH1 Series, Single Ladies, as well as a chance to shadow the director Carl Franklin & later Benny Boom, on the feature film All Eyez On Me (Tupac Biopic).
Rasheena’s writing debut was as the script coordinator and punch up writer, in the acclaimed The Bobby Brown Story mini-series. Rasheena was then accepted to Disney’s CTDI Talent Program and she currently writes for the Disney Channel.
