251 - Actor & Filmmaker Stefanie Black - You're Worth It, Say Yes To Yourself - (Mistakes In The Mak


In this edition of Mistakes In The Making, we hear from Actor and Filmmaker Stefanie Black. She details a casting competition from her past that could have gone better if she only believed she was worth all the attention and work offered to her. Enjoy!








Stefanie Black is an actor, writer, and director originally from Allentown, PA. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Playwrights Horizons Theater School, an alumna of The Williamstown Theater Festival and American Conservatory Theater (ACT). She is a founding member and Co-Artistic Director of, the Ovation Award Winning, IAMA Theatre Company. As an actor, she can be seen on THIS IS US (NBC) and playing opposite Kathy Bates' on the new NETFLIX comedy, DISJOINTED. She has recurred on such shows as SCANDAL (ABC), MAKING HISTORY (FOX), HOUSE OF LIES (SHOWTIME) and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS); as well as appeared on CASUAL (HULU), GREY’S ANATOMY (ABC), BONES (FOX), MIKE AND MOLLY (CBS), PRIVATE PRACTICE (ABC), RIZZOLI AND ISLES (TNT), and many others. As a director, her feature debut, “Wild Man,” which she co-wrote and co-directed, premiered at Cinequest 2017, as well as the Nashville Film Festival (Audience Award). Her short films have played festivals all over the United States and Canada and she recently directed the 2017 ABC Discovers Talent Showcase. As a writer, she was a semi-finalist for the NBC Comedy Playground. Stefanie currently has several projects in development for television and film. Stefanie is an acting teacher/coach and is on the Faculty at John Rosenfeld Studios in Hollywood, CA. She sits on the Next-Gen Board for The Young Storytellers Foundation, a mentor program, which promotes literacy through storytelling in the Los Angeles public school system. She is represented by Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Morris, Yorn, Barnes, Levine, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, & Gellman.
